Skytrain doings

I saw a very odd thing on the skytrain today. The guy that was sitting in front of me was carrying what I assumed to be a guitar case. He started to gesture with his hand in a manner that I could only describe as a mix between orchestra conducting and some sort of Nazi salute. Gesturing towards no one, mind you. I couldn't figure out what he was up to, so I just ignored him and continued listening to my iPod. He ended up getting off at the same station as me and as we were both walking towards the mall, he continued these wild gestures, except that now, when he had the space, he followed them up with a violent lunge. I realized that he was practicing some sort of fencing moves. After that, it all made sense, but I can honestly say, that was one of the oddest things I have ever seen someone do in public. Not obscene, just odd. I wish I had had a camcorder.

In completely unrelated news, one of the girls at work got fired yesterday. Apparantly she was already on two written warnings for something or another, and the previous night she forgot to lock the safe. Oops. She got canned. She took it really badly and basically stormed out of the store crying. What an awkward day after that. No one really wanted to talk about it and we all just carried on like it hadn't happened. Long story short, I am now a key holder again.

To quote Godfather II, "I try to get out but they just keep pulling me back in."

At first I thought there was still a guitar in the case at the end of your story. I'm pretty slow today.

Thats harsh about one of the girls getting fired. Aww well, it has to get done I suppose. Did she happen to put Videos in the DVD section?

Are you manager of Metrotown yet?

Conference is tomorrow, I'll keep yah posted.
