Kill Em All

What is wrong with people? I know I have asked this question before, but I don't care. I still don't understand.
Vanessa had her car broken into yesterday in broad daylight on the busiest street in town. How does that happen? And why?
She had her $150 bag stolen and everything that was in it. Insurance doesn't cover it because her car has a $700 deductible. Damn insurance companies.
When will theft no longer be a concern? Never? Will there always be those who are so stomped by the boot of modern soceity that they feel they have to steal other peoples things to stay alive? Or are they just lazy, uneducated slobs who do it just to feel alive? I really don't understand.
